At/by the end of the unit, what do you want the student to be able to do with the language?
Final assessment (Scenario):
You are a visiting student in one of the cities in Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, or Serbia. You are talking with your local professor and you want to say more about the city you are currently staying in: how it looks, what your weekly schedule is and what you do in your free time. Be sure to also include where you like to go during your free time. In general, you might be asked to say something about where people go in the city, what they do, what cultural activities you like to do, and where you go. Also consider the following questions. What local band do you like, what is your favorite singer, what is your favorite song that you discovered in the area? Finally, compare the city you are visiting with the city you are from.
Break the goal down into smaller learning targets.
Module 1: I can talk about my city.
Module 2: I can talk about my free time and activities I do on my own or with friends.
Module 3: I can talk about my weekly schedule, where I usually go, and what I like to do .
