Cjelina 8: Tradicionalna hrana

RIBANJE I RIBARSKO PRIGOVARANJE (Fishing and Fishermen’s Conversation)
A philosophical narrative poem [published in 1568] was written by Petar Hektorović (1487-1572). It is one of the most important literary works of the Croatian Renaissance. In his work, Hektorović describes his three-day boat trip from Hvar to Brač and Šolta, accompanied by Hrvar fishermen. For this unit symbol, we see traditional fishing tools from Hektorović’s time. Over the centuries, this tool has been modernized, but in its core it still remains the same and used in present day Croatia.
